The Absalom Thompson House was constructed around 1835. The house was Confederate General John Bell Hood's headquarters during the Battle of Spring Hill.Located approximately 2.5 miles S of Spring Hill, Tennessee, on Denning Lane, circa 2.4 miles E of U. S. Highway 31 (Columbia-Franklin Pike in 1864).
